Site Captains are the backbone of Hands On New York Day. The event wouldn't be possible without the volunteers who plan and manage the projects at each site. Apply to be a Site Captain today, or contact Tanisha Evans at 212-402-1141 for more information.

- Get the Team Leaders and volunteers who will be at your site excited about the projects they'll work on and encourage them to fundraise in honor of their service.
- Lead the way on Hands On New York Day.
Support for Site Captains
New York Cares' staff is here to help you have a fun and rewarding experience and discuss any questions, problems, and ideas you have.
You'll receive detailed information about your site for Hands On New York Day and a Site Captain Manual to guide you through the event. We run a detailed Site Captain Training, required of all Site Captains, where you'll learn how to manage multiple projects and engage volunteers and site staff to run the day successfully. Once we receive your application, we'll e-mail you about signing up for one of the training sessions.
You can find details about your site's projects, including directions to your site and Team Leader contact information, through "My Projects" on www.newyorkcares.org. We constantly update the information on the site, so check back often.
