Please note: Online registration is now closed. Want to volunteer but haven't signed up? Please come to our office by 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, and we'll provide roundtrip bus transportation to a few sites in need of last-minute volunteers.
New York Cares' office is in Manhattan at 214 West 29th Street (between 7th and 8th avenues). Buses will return by 4:00 p.m. Please bring $20 for the registration fee. If you are looking to join a specific team, please contact your team leader for details.
New York City parks, gardens, and community centers are an essential part of urban life. They provide space for recreation, relaxation, and community growth. Each April, Hands On New York Day volunteers make these spaces cleaner, greener, and ready for summer.
Your efforts on Hands On New York Day are critical to keeping our city's public spaces clean and green, but this incredible day of service is only one of the 11,000 volunteer projects New York Cares runs each year. Fundraising for Hands On New York Day enables New York Cares' volunteers to continue making a difference all year long.
Take the $150 Challenge or find other ways to fundraise in honor of your service. You'll make a lasting impact in the community and put yourself in the running for some great incentive prizes.

*The $20 registration fee helps defray the considerable costs of this day of service. The fee is not refundable or eligible for application toward incentive prizes. Volunteers representing 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are eligible for a discounted fee. Contact Damon Bolden at Damon.Bolden@newyorkcares.org or 212-402-1139 for details.
