Please note: Online registration is now closed. Want to volunteer but haven't signed up? Please come to our office by 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, and we'll provide roundtrip bus transportation to a few sites in need of last-minute volunteers.

New York Cares' office is in Manhattan at 214 West 29th Street (between 7th and 8th avenues). Buses will return by 4:00 p.m. Please bring $20 for the registration fee. If you are looking to join a specific team, please contact your team leader for details.

Join a team for Hands On New York Day, make a donation, raise money for New York Cares, or all of the above.

Each team appoints a Team Leader to register the team online, coordinate details on and before the day, and motivate the team to compete for our exciting prize packages. You can join a team by choosing your team's name from the registration page.

If you're not part of a corporate or civic team, you can still make a difference by volunteering with a team of individuals or fundraising as a Virtual Volunteer if you can't make it on the day. You can also take on one of the leadership roles below.

Be a Site Captain

Be an Individual Team Leader
Individual Team Leaders manage groups of individual volunteers who participate in Hands On New York Day unaffiliated with a civic or corporate team. This is a great way to develop leadership experience. Download the application, or contact Damon Bolden at 212-402-1139 to learn more.

Be a Registration Leader
